Personal Information:
My wife, Jodie, and I came to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in June of 2006. I began ministry in a dual-parish at Deer River and Squaw Lake, Minnesota, followed by fourteen years as Associate Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Bismarck, North Dakota. We have three adult children, four grandchildren and always look forward to spending time with family.

Enjoys:
Hunting and fishing and especially trips back to North Dakota and Minnesota and watching (as a native Minnesotan) the Vikings and the Twins.

Fun Fact:
I coached high school wrestling and football for 30 years while being a pastor.  I was privileged to coach many state champions in wrestling and was part of a state football championship.

What I love about my position:
Preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus and encouraging a witness to the love and forgiveness of Jesus through acts of love and mercy. I enjoy preaching, teaching, hospital visits, leadership and strategic planning.  Additionally, I like working with the outstanding leaders and servants at Shepherd.

Bible Verse with Special Meaning:
Matthew 25:35-37; 40 – “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me… The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
