Xtreme - Middle SchooL Ministry

Kids 5th through 8th Grade

Do your children need a place to grow in their understanding of God's love and His plans for their life? Our Xtreme Ministry gives your kids the opportunity to grow and show their faith in our Triune God. We encourage our youth to connect with their peers and adult mentors to nurture their Christian faith. They will study the Bible, talk about life, serve others and get connected through small groups.

Pre-Confirmation

Grades 5 & 6

Is the Bible really true? How do all the stories connect? How do I find answers? How do I come to know Jesus? Shepherd’s Pre-Confirmation program encourages and welcomes youth to ask questions and study what the Bible teaches. All students will be learning the New Testament.

Pre-Confirmation is Sunday mornings at 9:30am | Room LL-15 (Science Lab)

(Click here for a room location map)

Youth Missions

Missions encourage our  junior high and high school youth to serve our Lord through servant events and mission opportunities throughout the year. Youth get to participate in mission opportunities and experience them with their friends and family.

Every activity includes some servant project with a monthly off campus event to serve our community. Every other year, they have the opportunity to travel to the Navajo Nation with families from our church.

Upcoming Events:

Breakfast with Baby: Youth can help with our church-wide monthly mission of Breakfast with Baby. They can help by setting up, serving, helping parents with their children, and clean up.

Sandwich Sundays: Our whole Shepherd community comes together to make sandwiches and lunches for some of Denver's homeless population. We deliver them to homeless in Civic Center Park in Downtown Denver. Stay tuned for future dates.

Navajo Mission Trip: On the off years of the National Youth Gathering, our high school students are invited to serve the Navajo Nation by spending a week leading Vacation Bible School, a sports camp, and building relationships with the Navajo people. Our next trip will be in the Summer of 2023. Click here for more information.
